Mid Century modern house gets a warm, thoughtful and green kitchen
This beautiful mid century house was lovingly designed and built by its first owner, an architect.
The original kitchen, while lovely, made the space feel closed off. Kathryn wanted an update that respected the vintage feel, opened up the space and had all the modern conveniences we all need.
The large island was made from wood that lined the walls and cabinetry of the original kitchen. Additional Reclaimed fir was sourced to create the thick floating shelves of this eco remodel.
Low VOC finishes, FSC Certified lumber or even reclaimed wood are options to build a stylish yet environmentally friendly kitchen or other cabinetry. If this interests you please give me a shout!
