About Us

As my wife, Rachael, and I were searching for the "perfect" Craftsman house in Portland it became obvious to us that many of these fantastic homes had been robbed of a part of their original charm and character, their built-ins.  We saw home after home where they were either torn out completely, missing their doors or worst of all "modernized" with replacement doors that simply do not fit with the period and style of the house.

I have a background in art and design and about 4 years ago began studying woodworking and furniture making in San Francisco.  I moved to Portland with the idea of starting a career in woodworking and as I began the business I decided that I should become THE resource for re-designing and installing built-in furniture to restore or remodel the gorgeous period homes that make this city so beautiful.

I am a one-man operation at the moment and my dedication is to seamless design, high quality and customer attention.  The cabinetry will appear as though it has been there forever.  If you want to make a statement and WOW visitors we can achieve that too, but mostly the work will have a quiet elegance and a practical function.

I am also an avid cyclist and have a love of vintage steel high quality road bikes and components.  I have restored several bikes for both myself and for resale.  I buy, sell and trade in bikes with a special emphasis on road bikes for shorter folks...like me.  If you need a high quality bike but don't need the $1000+ carbon fiber madness let me know and I will help you saddle up.

Enjoy the portfolios and I hope to hear from you soon.
